Agent Cards
A derivative can be registered as an agent under ERC-8004, the Ethereum standard for agents that other agents can find and check. Registration gives the derivative an identity on chain and a public card that says what it is and how to reach it.
What is registered
- Derivatives only. A personal Root is never registered.
- Only a derivative that may be named in public: active, public or unlisted, with an active slot, an approved listing when it has one, and an owner who has not kept it out of the registry.
- One identity per derivative. It is held by the derivative's own account (ERC-6551), so it travels with the derivative when the derivative changes hands. It is a record of registration, not of ownership.
The owner can keep any derivative out of the registry from its page in the dashboard. A derivative that is kept out, retired or delisted reads as inactive.
The card
Every registered derivative has a card, a small JSON document in the ERC-8004 registration format, served at /api/agent/{derivativeId}/card.json. It carries:
- the derivative's name and description from its approved listing, or the plain label "ARK agent" while it is inactive;
- the services it offers, such as its web agent while one is deployed;
- its registrations: the agent id and the registry it lives in;
- whether it is active.
The card carries the approved listing's words and nothing else about the owner. The site lists every active identity it holds in one file, agent-registration.json.
Checking an agent
Anyone can check a registered agent at /verify/agent/{agentId}: the derivative it belongs to, its account, the registration transaction, the creator's Deed while it is active, and how many feedback entries it has received.
Reputation
ERC-8004 lets anyone who is not the agent's owner leave feedback on its identity. ARKZ posts no feedback of its own. The public line is a count of feedback entries, never an average, because one entry of any value would move an average.
The registries
The ERC-8004 Identity Registry and Reputation Registry are shared contracts that ARKZ does not deploy. ERC-8004 is a draft standard, and ARKZ uses its reference deployment. The registry addresses and the ARKZ agent registrar are listed under Contracts.
Status
Agent registration is built and tested, and it is not open yet. Cards appear once the first derivatives are registered.
