Points and epochs

Points are XP, earned by building your ARK, counted in weekly epochs. At the end of each epoch every eligible wallet's points become one leaf of a Merkle tree, and the tree's root is published on Base, so anyone can check that a wallet's points are the ones recorded.

What counts

XP from building. XP is earned by qualifying contributions to your own ARK, such as the insights you teach it. It is settled before it counts.
Your multiplier. A Key carries the XP multiplier of the round it was bought in. The board shows your best Key's multiplier beside your wallet; with no Key it is 1.00x.
ARK Fidelity is separate. It has its own board, beside the XP board and never merged with it.

The exact weights behind each kind of contribution are published when the season closes, not before.

Epochs

An epoch is one week by default.
When an epoch closes, the next one opens where it ended.
At the close, each eligible wallet's points for the epoch become one leaf: the wallet address and its whole points. Points are settled in fractions, and the leaf holds the whole number.
The leaves form a Merkle tree, and its root is published on Base by the points epochs contract.
An epoch that nobody appears in closes with no root.

Checking your points

The points board lists the top wallets for the current epoch and for all time, and lets anyone find a wallet. For a wallet in a closed epoch, the page can check its proof against the root published on Base, in your browser, and it says plainly whether the proof matches, does not match, or could not be checked.

Who appears

Only wallets that hold a registered Passport, for a public ARK whose owner's identity is verified.
Each row shows the wallet address and its Basename when one resolves, the multiplier and the Key tier. Never a name.
One row per wallet.

Points stay with you

Points belong to the person, not the wallet. When you move your Passport to a new wallet, your points are shown beside the new wallet; the balance does not change.

What points do today

Points open capsules and items, and they give marketplace boosts. They have no cash value.

The public points board and the epochs are built and tested, and they are not open yet. The board for signed-in members at The board is open today.
